“He could have been whatever he wanted to be, he had such potential, it was amazing.”
Born January 28, 1990, my son Eric was a remarkable man. He was compassionate and mindful. A vegetarian, he was respectful of others and our environment. He was athletic, running the LA Marathon at age sixteen. He earned seven varsity letters and achieved all-league in soccer and tennis. He was artistic, playing several instruments and was active in photography. He was adventurous, traveling through Nicaragua with his true love, Holly, for a month learning Spanish. He was intellectual, a National Merit Finalist who scored a perfect 800 on the SAT verbal twice. He completed and presented original scientific research at a youth scientific assembly. He was majoring in Molecular Biology at the University of California at Berkeley. Most of all, Eric was a loved and valued member of our family and our community. A deep, quiet strength radiated from this natural leader. By any measure, Eric was a shining star who was committed to improving our world.
