Kristin Marie Rice was born December 13th 1987.
She was a radiant beauty from the minute she was born, vivacious and spectacular in every way. She was a tow-headed little blond with a play-outside-all-day tan from the time she could be outside to run and play. Endless chatter and breathless excitment for anything and everything she encountered. A bug could entertain her one day and make her run the next. She loved the water at an early age and started swimming competetively in Middle School. She was our little Guppy in the water.
Kristin loved everyone, cared about her friends deeply and was devoted to her family. She lived with an attitude of love and fun and displayed all the characteristics her Faith allowed. She was always a dependable babysitter and worked at a local children's resale shop.
Kristin was always a joy and we cherished every moment we had with her.
Kristin had her life cut short when she was on the verge of becoming a young woman on a journey to a promising future. She wanted to become a nurse and I think with the characteristics she posessed, she would have been a fabulous RN.
Our daughter Kristin was killed by a drunk driver. We lost our beautiful young lady, our past, our present and our future. Jeremy lost his devoted sister, we lost our beloved little girl. There is no measure for this loss, the loss of a child, only agony this tragic and senseless wreck has caused. She was and always will be in our hearts as we miss her so much at times it's almost unbearable.. The loss of such an amazing, beloved young lady will always leave us with a wounded heart. She is irreplacable, a one in a trillion little girl.
She was killed on November 13th 2004 and the black void of her death has enveloped us ever since. This is a loss no parent or family should have to go thru. No one should bury a 16 year old child.
Although we walk forward, we never forget.
