Madeleine Lorraine Dillard came into the world at 4:10 a.m. on the morning of July 29, 1992. She was born at Kaiser Hospital in Redwood City, California. Her parents were Marian & David. Maddie spent the first 5 years of her life in the Sonoma County region of California where she enjoyed swimming and playing with friends. She then moved to Murray, Kentucky where she began elementary school, and was there until 4th grade. After that, Maddie spent a year in Connecticut, then moved to Ulverston, England with her family for a year and a half. There, Maddie fell in love with chocolate croissants and apple fizzies. She played basketball at school and enjoyed throwing the best Halloween party ever seen in Ulverston. Her family moved to Alabama a month before Hurricane Ivan hit. Maddie started middle school in Alabama, and spent time there and in Livingston, Texas with her father. She loved shopping, talking on her phone, texting, drawing and laughing. She was a beautiful and tall young lady reaching nearly 6 feet. She had smooth olive skin, dark brown eyes and hair and a smile for everyone. She loved her cats, her family and her friends.
After returning to Alabama from Texas by bus on August 27th, 2009, Maddie was in a car accident. She was flown by helicopter to the nearest trauma center, had surgery twice to remove hematoma's on her brain, and died August 29th, 2009.
She was my only child. Life will never be the same in this world without her near. I love you, Maddie. I will see you again. <3 Mom.
